Purchased for my Ford 1210 and it fits and functions as described. It is important to wire properly, the same as the original wires. Make notes or take pictures of the original wiring before disassembly, if possible. This solenoid has an adjustable plunger (1 in the photo) which needs to be adjusted to match the length of the original solenoid when in the engaged position (the shortest length). The nut (2 in the photo) must be loosened to make this adjustment. The plunger is also threaded into the inner workings of the solenoid, and when the nut is loosened the plunger can be adjusted to the appropriate length. In my case I had to actually remove the plunger from the solenoid, then remove the nut from the plunger, and then reinstall the plunger in order the get the plunger to the appropriate length. This does not impact the function, and the plunger cannot "unscrew" itself after installation onto the starter as the plunger is hooked onto the starter lever fork which prevents the plunger from turning after assembly. As previous reviews indicated that the the solenoid would not disengage, I also recommend bench testing the starter/solenoid after assembly but prior to installation. There are plenty of tutorials on bench testing a starter available on YouTube, and it can be done quickly, with simple tools/supplies that most people doing such installation will already have on hand.
